UPPER LIP ENHANCEMENT WITHOUT FILLER

Lip Flip in Leytonstone

If your upper lip turns inwards or seems to disappear when you smile, a lip flip can help a little more of the lip remain visible—without adding any filler. This treatment gently relaxes part of the muscle around the upper lip, allowing the lip edge to roll slightly outwards. A lip flip won’t dramatically change the size or shape of your lips. It simply works with what you already have to create a little more upper-lip show.

Appointments available in Leytonstone, East London.

What is a Lip Flip?

A lip flip is a subtle injectable treatment designed to show a little more of the upper lip without adding volume.

It works by relaxing a small section of the circular muscle around the mouth. This muscle naturally draws the lips inwards when it contracts. By reducing some of that movement, the upper lip can gently roll outwards instead.

This can make more of the pink part of the upper lip visible, particularly when you smile. It may also give the lip border and Cupid’s bow a slightly more defined appearance.

Unlike lip filler, nothing is added to the lips. The treatment changes how the upper lip sits and moves, rather than physically making it bigger.

What can a Lip Flip help with?

A lip flip may be suitable if you would like a small change to your upper lip but don’t want to add volume. It can help with: • An upper lip that turns inwards • An upper lip that seems to disappear when smiling • Showing slightly more of the upper lip • Creating a subtle outward roll • Giving the Cupid’s bow a little more definition • Balancing the appearance of the upper and lower lips • Trying a subtle lip enhancement without filler A lip flip won’t create the same fullness or shape change as lip filler. If you would like noticeably more volume, stronger definition or changes to the proportions of your lips, filler may be the better option.

What to expect from your Lip Flip appointment

Your appointment will always start with a consultation so we can chat through your concerns, take a look at the treatment area and understand what you’d like to achieve. We will take time to understand what has been bothering you, explain what this treatment can realistically do for you, and answer any questions you have.

Everything is tailored 100% to you, and your unique goals. If you decide to go ahead, we'll apply a numbing cream, if appropriate, and begin the treatment. We won't start until you're 100% happy. At the end of the appointment you’ll also be given clear aftercare advice so you know exactly what to do afterwards and how to get the best from your results.

Lip Flip FAQs

What does a lip flip actually do?

A lip flip relaxes part of the muscle around the upper lip. This allows the lip edge to roll slightly outwards, making a little more of the pink lip visible.

It doesn’t add volume or dramatically change the shape of your lips. The result is designed to be subtle.

How long does a lip flip last?

A lip flip usually lasts around eight to 12 weeks, although this varies between clients. The muscles around the mouth are constantly being used for speaking, eating and expression, so results may not last quite as long as anti-wrinkle treatment in other areas.

Movement will return gradually rather than changing suddenly.

How quickly will I see my lip flip results?

You may start to notice a small change within a few days, but it can take approximately two weeks for the treatment to settle fully.

Try not to judge the result too early, as the two sides of the lip may respond at slightly different speeds while the treatment is developing.

What is the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?

A lip flip changes how the upper lip sits by relaxing a small section of the muscle. It can reveal slightly more of your existing lip, but it doesn’t add volume.

Lip filler places a soft gel within the lips to add volume, improve shape or create greater definition. If you’re unsure which one you need, we’ll talk you through the difference and recommend the most suitable option.

Can a lip flip affect eating or drinking?

Because the treatment relaxes part of the muscle used to move the lips, some people notice temporary changes when using a straw, drinking from a cup, speaking or making certain lip movements.

These effects aren’t experienced by everyone and gradually wear off with the treatment. We’ll explain the possible risks properly during your consultation so you can make an informed decision.
