Profhilo is an injectable hyaluronic acid skin booster designed to improve hydration, elasticity and the overall quality of ageing skin.
Rather than adding volume or changing the shape of your face, Profhilo spreads beneath the skin and works across the surrounding tissue. It helps deeply hydrate the skin while supporting collagen and elastin, which naturally reduce as we get older.
We particularly like Profhilo for skin that has started to look crepey, thinner, less firm or less resilient, especially when skincare alone isn’t quite giving you the improvement you want.
The result should still look completely natural. You’re not adding cheekbones or changing your features, the aim is simply for your skin to look healthier, smoother and better supported.
Profhilo is also different from Profhilo Structura, which works deeper and is designed more specifically for age-related changes in facial structure and support.
Profhilo can be a great option when the main concern is age-related change in the skin itself, rather than loss of facial volume or one specific wrinkle. It can help improve the appearance of: • Crepey or thinning skin • Loss of elasticity • Fine lines • Mild skin laxity • Dry or dehydrated skin • Dull or tired-looking skin • Early signs of ageing • Skin that feels less firm or resilient • Overall skin smoothness and quality Profhilo does provide a real hydration boost, but we tend to think of it as more than simply a “glow treatment”. It can be particularly useful as skin becomes thinner, less elastic and more crepey with age.
Your appointment will always start with a consultation so we can chat through your concerns, take a look at the treatment area and understand what you’d like to achieve. We will take time to understand what has been bothering you, explain what this treatment can realistically do for you, and answer any questions you have.
Everything is tailored 100% to you, and your unique goals. If you decide to go ahead, we'll apply a numbing cream, if appropriate, and begin the treatment. We won't start until you're 100% happy. At the end of the appointment you’ll also be given clear aftercare advice so you know exactly what to do afterwards and how to get the best from your results.

For the right skin concerns, Profhilo can absolutely be worth considering. It’s particularly suited to skin that has become crepey, dehydrated, less elastic or generally less resilient with age.
It won’t dramatically change your face or replace lost facial volume, but that’s also why many clients like it — the improvement is focused on the skin itself and should look very natural.
They do completely different jobs, so one isn’t really better than the other. Botox works by reducing the muscle movement responsible for expression lines such as forehead and frown lines. Profhilo works within the skin to improve hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality.
If movement-related wrinkles are your main concern, anti-wrinkle treatment may make more sense. If your skin feels crepey, dry or less firm, Profhilo may be more suitable. Some clients benefit from both.
There isn’t one perfect age for Profhilo. We look at the condition of your skin rather than the number on your birthday.
Some clients start noticing changes in hydration and elasticity in their 30s, while others don’t consider Profhilo until their 40s, 50s, 60s or later when crepiness and reduced firmness become more noticeable.
Neither is automatically better — they’re suited to slightly different skin goals. Seventy Hyal is a skin booster we often consider when the main goal is hydration, glow, fine lines and fresher-looking skin.
Profhilo can also hydrate brilliantly, but we particularly like it where there are more noticeable changes in elasticity, crepiness and age-related skin quality. We’ll recommend whichever option makes the most sense for your skin rather than automatically choosing one brand over another.
There isn’t one skin booster that is automatically best for everyone with mature skin.
Profhilo can be a strong option when the main concerns are crepey skin, loss of elasticity, dehydration and reduced firmness. Polynucleotides may be more suitable where skin is particularly thin or compromised, while Profhilo Structura may be considered if deeper facial support is the bigger concern. The best treatment depends on what has actually changed in your skin and face.
If you have mild loss of firmness alongside dehydration and crepiness, Profhilo may help the skin look firmer and more supported.
However, skin boosters aren’t the same as dedicated tightening treatments. If laxity is more noticeable, something such as RF Microneedling may be more appropriate. If the issue is deeper loss of facial support rather than the skin itself, Profhilo Structura may be a better fit.
